MACKLIN Motors Nissan Glasgow has opened its doors to customers after an investment of more than £5 million.
A year-long construction project saw the Port Dundas Road dealership’s eight-storey glass tower rise from the ashes of the former DC Thomson print works, which was demolished to make way for the unique site.
In addition to its remarkable glass tower, the multi-storey car dealership also features a lower-level used car sales and service centre, with a stunning new car sales environment on the first floor.
It will be managed by experienced General Manager Robert Auld who, having spent more than half of his life in the motor retail industry, joined Macklin Motors Nissan in 2014.
The new dealership, which is part of Vertu Motors plc, complements Macklin Motors’ network of dealerships across Scotland, including its other Nissan site in Darnley.
Robert said: “It’s fantastic to finally officially open the new Macklin Motors Nissan Glasgow. This represents a significant investment by Vertu Motors in Scotland and demonstrates our belief in the market here.
“I am very excited to be a part of this fantastic project. The dealership will be a one-stop shop for customers in Glasgow. There are two floors of vehicles, extensive servicing and MOT facilities, and a cafe bar for customers to relax and enjoy our first-class hospitality.
“In addition to all of this, visitors will receive first-class customer service that is the cornerstone of Macklin Motors.”
