Nissan makes buying used cars easy and pressure-free with new online buying tool

BUYING a used car has never been easier thanks to a new online tool developed by Nissan.

By visiting can not only browse local and national used car stock, but they can also check monthly repayment figures, get their finance pre-approved and reserve a vehicle of their choice for a down-payment of just £250 before arranging to collect it from a dealer.

It means that used car customers can buy a car from home without needing to visit the dealership – simple, intuitive and with no pressure of being in a sales environment.

The online tool launched on April 8 and the first customer to buy a car using it made his purchase the same day.

Celso Fernandes from Chelmsford, Essex, bought his white Pulsar from Nissan agent Glyn Hopkin in the Essex town and collected it last week.

Matt Duncan, Used Car Manager at Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd, said: ”We had our first customer to actually buy a used car using the new tool within just a few hours of it going live on the site, which proves just how much potential it has.

“Mr Fernandes was able to browse cars at home in his own time and identify the one that best suited his needs, without feeling the need to visit a dealership or be put under any pressure to buy. This is just another example of how Nissan is listening to its customers and is tailoring its offer to suit their needs.”

Mr Fernandes picked up his new car from Glyn Hopkin Chelmsford’s Sales Manager, Billy Dopson.

He said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Mr Fernandes to our showroom having already bought his car. The tool works really well, as it attracts customers who might not feel comfortable in a sales environment and allows them to choose and order their car and even sort out their own finance – no other manufacturer can offer this experience.”
