Peterborough Nissan Dealer’s Pedal Power Helps Hospice

EMPLOYEES at a Peterborough Nissan dealership are riding high after raising more than £2,000 for a local hospice.

The team of nine cycled 87 miles from a Smiths Motor Group franchise in Ilkeston, to Smiths Nissan on Bretton Way, Peterborough.

With a lunchtime stop in between, the team completed the challenge in eight hours. They collectively raised £2,142 for the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.

The team comprised Group Managing Director Daniel Fitzjohn, Group Marketing and Charity Co-ordinator Sarah Fitzjohn, Nissan Dealership Director David Smith, Nissan Technicians Chris Harrison, Ashley Cotton, Robert Pratt and Ryan Brown, Renault Technical Consultant Rory Turner and friend Debbie Bellamy.

David Smith said: “It was a fantastic day, the ride was tough but great fun. We have to thank Terry Wright Cycles for supporting us on the day with repairs, supplies and food to keep our energy up — it would have taken us much longer without them!”
