PROVING the all-new Nissan Micra is both for the young and the young-at-heart, a Chard man has snapped up a top-of-the-range model — at the age of 91.
Morris Braddick, a former night shift manager at an engineering firm, was one of the first to put in an order for the all-new Nissan Micra, deciding to buy in December after seeing just one picture at Wellington Motors.
His Micra is a Tekna grade in Energy Orange, and he’s chosen to add an exterior pack of black trim to give it an even sportier edge.
Morris has been buying cars from Wellington Motors, on Summerfield Way in the town, for 11 years and from the same sales executive, Stephen Warwick.
Stephen said: “Morris is a great friend of the dealership and we knew the new Micra would tempt him. He took one look at the picture on the brochure cover and placed an order on the spot — it’s clear he knows what he wants! We hope he enjoys his new Micra, which in its vibrant Energy Orange colour is sure to turn heads.”
As soon as the car arrived at the dealership, Morris went along to get his first look, and was delighted with his choice — especially after discovering how good his favourite classical music sounded via the Bose personal audio system in the headrests.
He said: “I have a good sound system at home for my music and now I have one with me wherever I go — it’s absolutely wonderful to hear my favourite classical music in this way while I drive. It’s spectacular! I can’t wait to drive around in my new Micra, I’ve had many different Nissans in the past but this one feels like something special and different.”
