The new Micra arrived in your showrooms earlier this year, and since then almost 7,000 have been sold thanks to its combination of keen pricing, high levels of standard equipment and ease of driving.
This September sees Phase Two of the Micra’s launch with the arrival of the supercharged Micra DIG-S.
The New Micra DIG-S brings a genuine and relevant innovation to the market by boasting the world’s first production supercharged, three–cylinder, direct injection engine.
This breakthrough technology gives the DIG-S CO2 emissions from as little as 95g/km and economy of up to 68.9mpg, yet with a smooth and responsive drive from its 98PS. What’s more, Micra DIG-S is available from just £11,150, meaning that the vehicle offers an unbeatable combination of fuel efficiency, performance, space and value.
As the DIG-S is such a breakthrough model for the Micra range and indeed Nissan, this ‘In Focus’ aims to introduce you to the new car and outline the key points you need to know, while more information can be found on the New Micra DIG-S Product Guide on the dealer intranet.

What do the press think of it?
Clean Green Cars says…
‘The engine is a beautiful piece of engineering. Unlike most small diesels there’s no cambelt to need replacing every 4 years and no diesel particulate filter to clog up. So for anyone seeking economy, and particularly economy on short runs, it makes a very good case for itself.’
Honest John says…
‘DIG-S was actually rather nimble through curves, its mid-curve trajectory safely tightening when you release the accelerator, an enjoyable characteristic that’s rare in modern superminis. Other plusses include a roomy cabin, easily understood minor controls and if fitted, an excellent sat nav too.’
Parkers says…
‘With its relatively low purchase price, low insurance grouping and excellent fuel economy, the Micra DIG-S will make a sensible purchase for those wanting a city runabout.’
