NISSAN this week announced sales of 48,560 units across Europe – an increase of 4.4 per cent compared to last year, representing a market share of 3.9 per cent.
As ever, the two best-selling models were the company’s pair of all-conquering crossovers: Qashqai and Juke. Both cars continue to perform exceptionally well, with new Qashqai arriving in showrooms in the UK to great acclaim – and incredible levels of demand, as reported here on Nissan Insider.
With overall sales for January of 11,552 units in Russia and 9,781 in the UK, those two countries are ahead of the rest of the top five by quite a significant margin.
Third come the French, with 5,116 units sold; fourth are Italy (4,277) and fifth are Germany (3,825).
The figures for the top five models across Europe are as follows: Qashqai (15,141), Juke (9,079), Micra (5,417), Note (5,264) and X-Trail (3,223).
