MACKIE Motors has once again shown its support for Dundee United by agreeing a new sponsorship deal.
The family-run dealer group has supplied eight vehicles to the Scottish Premiership club, including a recent delivery of four Nissan Qashqais.
Mackie Motors, which has a Nissan dealership on Montrose Road, Arbroath, and Dundee United enjoy a long-standing partnership spanning 18 successive years.
Mackie Motors General Manager Greg Black, who is a lifelong Tangerines supporter, was at Tannadice to hand over the fleet to team captain Seán Dillon, defender Callum Morris, Goalkeeping Coach Stuart Garden, Development Squad Assistant Manager Dave Bowman, and the Club’s Community Manager Gordon Grady.
Paul Reid, Head of Commercial at Dundee United, said: “Our partnership with Mackie Motors has been a long and fruitful one, dating back to 1998. Every year the company supplies us with a fleet of fantastic vehicles for the club to use.
“We really appreciate support from local firms like this. It’s all part of being a great community club.”
Greg Black was delighted at arranging the sponsorship deal with his team whom he has supported since he was six.
“I’m a huge Dundee United fan so it’s fantastic Mackie Motors has such a strong relationship with the club,” he said.
“The Nissan Qashqai is a great car and so easy to drive; these cars will be a valuable addition to Dundee United’s fleet whether they are being used for transporting players, staff or equipment.”
