EXETER’S official Nissan retailer is raising money to protect local wildlife by offering clients free zero emissions taxi rides to and from its dealership in the all-electric Nissan e-NV200 Combi.
Exeter Nissan is using the innovative model to provide a chauffeured service to shuttle customers between its dealership on Grace Road, Marsh Barton, and their homes or offices while their car is undergoing a service or MoT.
The service will raise awareness of pure electric motoring – which costs as little as two pence per mile in the Nissan e-NV200 and LEAF hatchback – across Devon.
And for each ride taken, the dealership will make a donation to the Devon Wildlife Trust.
Matthew Holcombe, Dealer Principal at Exeter Nissan, said: “This new service is the perfect fit for us – it allows us to offer clients a high quality service that enhances their ownership experience while at the same time showcasing the benefits and advantages of switching to electric and electric vehicles.
“Nissan’s market-leading e-NV200 and LEAF costs from just two pence per mile to run and can help motorists save a small fortune on fuel. They’re also much cheaper to maintain than conventionally powered models.
“In addition, they offer zero emissions while driving and this can help to improve air quality in our communities.”
He added: “Given the environmental credentials of Nissan’s electric vehicles, it seemed only right that we make a donation for the rides taken to the Devon Wildlife Trust.”
