A NORTHUMBERLAND dealership has been recognised at a prestigious awards ceremony honouring families in business across the UK.
Blackshaws in Alnwick represented the North East region in the 7th annual Red Ribbon Awards after being nominated by a customer, employee or friend of the business.
They attended the awards ceremony at Wembley Stadium and finished runner-up in the Big Heart category, being commended for excellence.
William Blackshaw, a fourth generation Dealer Principal at Blackshaws on the Lionheart Enterprise Park, said: “Although we did not come away with the top prize, we are delighted and proud to have represented the North East and being recognised for the work we do in supporting the local community.
“We have a proud history in Alnwick that dates back more than 90 years and as a family-run dealer, we know the importance of treating your staff well and making sure each customer is given the best sales experience possible.”
Blackshaws currently operate two sites in the region, and opened their new showroom in Morpeth after experiencing rapid growth in the area.
The Red Ribbon Awards recognises the contribution of enterprising families to the UK economy.
Award judges take into account a company’s passion, integrity, customer service and longevity before being chosen to represent their region in the final.
