STAFF at a Nissan dealership in Hertfordshire used two wheels instead of four as they cycled 500 miles to raise money for ParalympicsGB.
Norton Way Nissan in Letchworth Garden City took on employees from the group’s other dealers in London and were given the challenge of cycling as far as they could in 30-minute slots to reach the impressive milestone.
Staff at the Norton Way North dealership also baked cakes on the day and raised more than £500 altogether, with one employee cycling an incredible 16.9 miles.
Proceeds will be combined with funds raised by Nissan and its dealers nationwide to help supercharge ParalympicsGB’s bid for sporting glory.
Nissan is the Official Automotive Partner of ParalympicsGB.
Christine Mansfield, Dealer Principal, said: “Everyone is really getting into spirit now that the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games are now upon us so this was a great opportunity to get fit, have a bit of competitive fun and raise funds for what is a very worthy cause.
“We’d like to thank everyone who gave so generously, it was a great day and everyone really enjoyed themselves.”
