A COUPLE from West Drayton who have been Nissan customers for nearly two decades have picked up the keys to their 10th Micra from their local dealer in Berkshire.
Dennis Thompson and his wife Lynn drove off with a new 66-plate model from Ancaster Slough in Dover Road eighteen years after they bought their first one from a dealer in Hillingdon for £5,000 back in 1998.
The retired couple like the popular vehicle for its ‘reliability and quality’ and clock up about 30,000 miles before buying a new one.
The pair have even kept a record of each purchase, keeping the original documents and a photograph of each handover.
Dennis said: “I absolutely love the Nissan Micra. It’s a really good car for both of us and we’ve never wanted to go anywhere else because the service we receive in a Nissan dealership is fantastic.
“I think if you get a good service from somewhere you want to keep going back again and again.”
He added: “Everyone always asks us if we would ever consider switching to another Nissan vehicle but the Micra suits our needs so well we’ve never looked back, even after all these years!”
Rakesh Mehta, General Sales Manager, at Ancaster Slough, said: “It’s great to see Dennis and Lynn showing such a long-term commitment to the Nissan brand. They have been great customers from the moment they walked into our dealership but we treat them like we would any other person wanting to buy a car from our showroom.
“We believe offering a good sales experience is vitally important to make customers want to come back to us, and we look forward to welcoming Dennis and Lynn back to Ancaster Slough for any aftersales needs.”
