A CHARITY night to mark the arrival of the all-new Micra at Alnwick dealership Blackshaws Nissan has raised £850.
The highlight of the evening was a talk from local sports hero and British middle-distance runner Laura Weightman.
Laura described her journey from running at school sports events to competing on the biggest stages in world athletics. She also gave an insight into her training regime and took part in a question and answer session.
The money has been split equally between Breast Cancer Care and Hospice Care North Northumberland.
William Blackshaw, Managing Director at the family-owned dealership, said: “Our charity night was a fantastic success with over 100 people attending. It was particularly encouraging to see quite a few budding young athletes in the audience.
“It was also a great opportunity for customers to see the all-new Nissan Micra and the positive feedback on the night was incredible.”
