A STAFFORD Nissan dealership is moving up in the world and is set to make its home in a new £2 million state-of-the-art showroom.
W R Davies, which has been located on Wolverhampton Road, Moss Pit, since it took over the site in 2004, is preparing to move up one junction of the M6 and take a prime position on the corner of Valley Drive.
Considerably larger than its current home, and boasting enough space inside for eight cars and outside for more than 100, the new site — which is expected to open in mid-October — reflects W R Davies’ confidence in the Nissan brand.
Alan Poole, Dealer Principal, said: “Nissan is an incredibly popular brand but with the latest product revisions in the X-Trail and Qashqai, the all-new Micra and the all-new LEAF coming at the start of 2018, the future is looking very exciting indeed.
“We’re all thrilled to move into our new home, and while we will miss our site here we are ready to take the next step and really put Nissan on the map in Stafford.”
In addition to the extra space for more car stock, the new dealership — which fits Nissan’s new retail concept — will have a handover bay, two rapid charging points, six service bays and an MOT ramp.
It is expected the expansion will create a number of new jobs on the showroom floor and in its service department.
