THE latest winners of the Nissan Motor GB Dealer Staff Of The Month awards have been announced and, once again, choosing the triumphant trio proved to be no easy task!
Competition for the October awards was immensely strong and all those team members who were entered by their Dealer Principals deserve a big pat on the back for their achievements.
The three eventual winners though, and who each enjoy 350 N-GAGE points in recognition of their efforts to go the extra mile for their customers and colleagues, were Darren Smith, Service Manager at Motorline Medway; Paul Babb, LMS Administrator at West Way Mill Hill; and Harley Seago, Sales Consultant at Crayford & Abbs.
Darren took one of the top three awards after impressing Simon Grove, Dealer Principal at Motorline Medway, with how he stepped up to the challenge when the dealership’s Aftersales Manager resigned. Simon said: “Since Darren’s arrival he has taken a lot of the Aftersales issues away from me and made the department his own by bringing in new ideas and also adopting the Motorline and Nissan processes. He has provided an exceptional experience to our service customers and been a fantastic role model to the staff under his control.
“On the service desk there is a new energy, determination and professionalism to deliver first time every time. His hard work has paid off and it is fantastic to see how impressive our CVA score is.”
Martin Corp, Dealer Principal, West Way Mill Hill, praised Paul for his unwavering, customer centric approach. On Paul’s commitment, he said: “Paul is our Collect and Delivery driver and no matter what his personal circumstances, whether he is going out later, he will always complete his deliveries back to the customer and, being based in London, that is always easier said than done. He really does put the hours in to get the job done!”
Finally, Crayford & Abbs’s Harley Seago took his award after taking his ‘behind the scenes’ role to a whole new level. Kevin Abbs, Dealer Principal, explained: “Harley is our unsung hero. He ensures the smooth operation between customer and the sales team and the workshop and accounts. The most notable nature of his commitment is when he puts in out of hour attendances to meet deadlines. An example being when the EV grant was reduced overnight on a Friday and we had three sales in preliminary stages – one phone call and he was here in his football strip (he plays for a local team on a Saturday) and he entered all three sales to ensure total customer satisfaction He’s a star!”
The ‘Dealer Staff Of The Month’ incentive is running again for November with Friday 7th December being the closing date for nominations. Putting staff forward for the awards is a great way to recognise their achievements and Dealer Principals can nominate easily and quickly through N-GAGE.
