Nissan has revealed the names of its ‘Dealer Ambassador of the Quarter’ award winners for quarter four (January-March). The recently relaunched incentive scheme places the focus squarely on the delivery of first-class customer service.
The three winners all won praise for going above and beyond the call of duty and should be incredibly proud of their achievements.
Cameron Love
The first winner for quarter four is Cameron Love, a sales consultant at Holdcroft Nissan Crewe. Quick-thinking Cameron saved the life of a customer who suffered a cardiac arrest while in the dealership’s waiting area.
Using first aid skills and training undertaken during his time in the Army, he deployed a defibrillator while waiting for paramedics to arrive.
Calm under pressure, he acted promptly and skilfully to save the gentleman’s life and took control of the whole situation, even marshalling other customers and colleagues during the emergency. He has been described as a ‘‘real hero’’.
We were told: ‘‘If it hadn’t been for Cameron’s quick-thinking and previous Army training, the outcome could have been a lot worse and unthinkable.
‘‘His actions came naturally to him under very difficult circumstances. Once the paramedics arrived, they said if it hadn’t been for Cameron, the customer’s cardiac arrest would have proved fatal.’’
Harland Thorpe
Harland Thorpe, a sales consultant at JS Holmes, Wisbech, put in an extraordinary amount of hard work when three out of four of the dealership’s sales staff went down with Covid recently.
The situation meant Harland was the only salesperson at work for 10 days.
He worked 12 days straight to cover his absent colleagues and handed over their cars for them (including sorting all the relevant paperwork). He managed to keep customers informed and updated as well as performing his own normal duties and selling 10 cars himself during an exceptionally busy period.
This truly was a superhuman effort and at 62 years old, Harland is definitely showing his younger colleagues how it’s done!
Alfie Mann
Our third winner for Q4 is Alfie Mann, a service advisor at F J Chalke Ltd., Yeovil. Alfie has really shone in all areas of customer service and quality and has been a real ambassador for the Nissan brand with an enthusiastic and professional can-do approach at the heart of everything he does.
F J Chalke Ltd., Yeovil, has seen its rolling three-month QVOC-A score improve significantly from a position of 43.1 per cent in January 2021 to a consistent rolling score of 85 per cent or over – and this hasn’t happened by accident!
Alfie and his colleagues in the service department have shown real dedication and passion for both FJ Chalke and the Nissan brand, going above and beyond what is expected to ensure that customers receive the very best levels of service despite staffing challenges presented by Covid.
In addition, Alfie has excelled in upselling services and products and has won praise for the ‘excellent’ levels of service he delivers. One customer commented: ‘‘It’s unusual to find such good customer empathy and support in any organisation. He’s a great asset to the Nissan brand.’’
Official recognition
