A FORMER finalist on the hit TV show ‘The Apprentice’ shared some of her top sales tips during an inspiring workshop with an award-winning Lancashire Nissan dealer.
Ruth Badger, who was runner-up in the second series of The Apprentice in 2006, shared her story with the team at Chorley Group as part of the firm’s latest Futures Leaders event at San Marco in Blackrod.
Ruth spoke candidly about how she went from working in her local job centre to narrowly missing out on a £100,000-a-year job with British business magnate Lord Alan Sugar.
The highlight of Ruth’s time on the show came in week six when she excelled in a car sales challenge, comfortably out-selling her fellow candidates.
Stacey Turner, HR Director at the Chorley Group, said: “This was the latest event in our Future Leaders programme, which aims to inspire our team to fulfill their potential. The future leaders have been hand-picked as having the potential to grow into managers of the future.
“We invited Ruth to speak because she is passionate about sales, a quality that shone through during her time on The Apprentice.
“Most fans of the show will remember Ruth for the car sales challenge so it was fascinating to get an insight into her approach to sales.”
Ruth added: “It was a real honour to be invited to address the Chorley Group’s future leaders.
“The Chorley Group is a brilliant family business and I’m full of admiration for what they’ve achieved and the way they continually invest in their staff to drive the business forwards.”
The Chorley Group has Nissan dealerships in Chorley, Preston, Wigan, Burnley and Blackpool.
