NISSAN is pleased to announce the three winners of April’s Dealer Ambassador of the Month honours, to retailer employees who have gone above and beyond to help others.
The monthly award, which is open to all staff in the Nissan retail network, recognises an individual’s outstanding commitment to customers and colleagues. It is designed to celebrate best practice and exceptional individual performance, and in April saw Lee Bradbury of RRG Bury, Amelia Pryde of Evans Halshaw Middlesbrough and Shane Rendall of FJ Chalke in Wincanton winning praise from NMGB directors and 350 N-GAGE points each.
Sales Manager Lee Bradbury was nominated by two of his colleagues – Dealer Principal Anthony Rubio and Sales Consultant Abu Abedin – for going above and beyond his duties to help a customer in desperate need.
Abu Abedin said: “One of our customers, who had recently bought a new car, was taken in to hospital by ambulance and his car was parked on the driveway blocking his wife’s car in. His wife had never driven his Nissan LEAF and couldn’t work out how to operate it to move it out of the way.
“She called the dealership and, immediately, Lee drove over to her house, moved the car for her and then offered to drive her to the hospital. This is going above and beyond for the customer experience.”
Amelia Pryde – a Service Advisor at Evans Halshaw in Middlesbrough – was nominated by her Service Manager, Andrew Briggs. He said: “Amelia has became a massive part of the outstanding service we aim to provide here at Nissan Middlesbrough. She has only been in the industry for 8 months but not only has she become accredited by Nissan as a Service Advisor, she has a fan base of customers who love to deal with her.
“One that stands out was a lady who came in one week early for her appointment and she started to cry. Amelia showed compassion and delivered outstanding service by getting the lady’s car in straight away on the day, showing support to the lady and arranging for her to be taken home and then collected. When the lady returned she thanked Amelia and said she was having problems at home and she hopes that one day someone provides Amelia the same compassion and thanked her with a present and card.”
FJ Chalke Sales Executive, Shane Rendall, was recognised by Dealer Principle Martin Berkley, who said:“Shane was a man on a mission from the very start of March, wanting to deliver the best customer service and sell 100 vehicles in the month. He exceeded this target in every way, selling 110 vehicles and delivering exceptional customer service with every client. He handed over 15 vehicles on one day and still had everyone smiling. Shane was in work every day before 8am ensuring that all vehicles were gleaming for delivery and completing pre-checks on the next batch and only went home after the last handover, often late in the evening.
“Most of Shane’s customers were single purchases, but he still managed to keep in regular contact with clients, ensuring that they all received his very best personal customer service. Our business surveys all our clients to gain feedback and Shane attained 100% to the question of whether the customer would recommend FJ Chalke to family and friends. With comments such as “Shane is a star” heard often. So, no drama just great service on every one of the 110 vehicles he sold. Just the type of Sales Executive we need within the Brand.”
The Brand Ambassador Of The Month awards will continue throughout 2019 and senior staff are invited to nominate their best team members over the coming months.
To enter the May awards, nominate through N-GAGE by 4 June.
