NMGB’s National Used Vehicle Remarketing Manager Giles Rayner has exciting news on a new way to buy an Approved Used Nissan here in his exclusive blog post for Nissan Insider….
“The way Nissan sells its Approved Used cars in the UK is well established and successful, but we believe there’s always room for improvement.
Following a lot of research and a study of used car markets in the UK, USA and Japan, a new process, which is called Nissan Intelligent Choice, has been formulated — and the UK has been picked to be the first to operate it.
It goes live soon, and all dealerships will be fully briefed on it, with training and webinars just after Easter. Once properly established here, it’ll go out to other global markets!
The idea of Nissan Intelligent Choice is to make the customer journey as painless as possible — peace of mind and consumer confidence is key.
Every car that comes to us will undergo a comprehensive background check, to make sure there’s no outstanding finance, that it’s not been stolen or written off and that it complies with DVLA records. Then it will undergo a full workshop check of more than 100 points before being refurbished to a high standard.
We’re also offering customers a 30-day or 1,000 mile exchange promise. If there’s a fault with your car, especially in the first weeks of owning it, it affects the way you feel about that car. Even if it’s fully fixed, the seed of doubt will always be there. So if the worst happens and something goes wrong our promise is to find an equivalent model and spec for the customer to drive away instead.
And there’s more customer peace of mind with a promise of two years’ free servicing, 12 months’ European roadside assistance and a minimum 12 months’ warranty.
But the biggest development is our online portal, where customers can search Nissan’s entire Approved Used stock.
Customers will be able to sort their choices by their budget, or by a monthly price — worked out by using an example deposit amount and APR rate.
By having this function, customers who may, for example, only feel they’ll be able to afford a Juke, could discover they can get a high spec Qashqai that’s a year older. It opens up many more possibilities to them.
In the summer, there’ll be more developments to the website, including the ability to tailor your own finance quote, check your eligibility for finance and then — crucially — reserve your chosen car for a small deposit.
Overall, the Nissan Used Car website will be much easier to use as well — particularly for mobile and tablet users. It will recognise where you’re visiting from – mobile or desktop – and adjust accordingly.
It’s a really exciting time for us here as we prepare for the launch of Nissan Intelligent Choice, and we know it’s going to be a big hit with our customers and throughout the dealer network.”
