IT MAY not seem like it, but 2013 will mark 30 years since the original Micra went on sale back in 1983. At Nissan Insider we think that’s cause for celebration – and evidently, so does Nissan!
In recognition of the milestone, Nissan UK is hunting down the best examples of the Micra for its heritage collection – and now it needs your help.
There’s currently just one variant missing from the collection – a particular type of K12. If you’re not a model code buff, that’s the one we’ve pictured above – the generation on sale from 2003 to 2010.
It’s exceptional, low-mileage cars that Nissan are after in particular – those that have led a comfortable life and have been well treated.
A company spokesman said: ‘We now have an example of every generation of Micra in the collection, but our K12 is a mid-engined V6 and so isn’t entirely representative. We need the best of the best to preserve for future generations.’
So, if you know of a mint example of the bubble-shaped K12, Nissan want to know about it! Get in touch by emailing [email protected], and we’ll pass your details along.
