A SOUTH Wales car dealer has helped raise thousands of pounds for armed forces’ veterans.
For four months, Griffin Mill Garages Ltd, which has a Nissan showroom in Tonteg Road, Pontypridd, matched donations made by its customers – up to £10 – from every vehicle sold.
It recently finalised its Poppy Appeal fundraising efforts and handed over a cheque for £5,000 to the Pontypridd branch of the Royal British Legion.
A spokesman for Griffin Mill said: “We thank all our customers who kindly and generously made a donation after buying their new car from us.”
Phil Richards, Branch Chairman of the Royal British Legion, Pontypridd added: “We are extremely grateful for this local support.
“Local businesses like Griffin Mill Garages have been amazing in raising funds for us, which directly supports our welfare work, which is delivered across the region throughout the year.”
