The names of Nissan’s three Dealer Ambassadors for the month of May have been revealed.
All three have gone above and beyond the call of duty to make life that little bit easier for colleagues and ensure every customer’s experience is a truly special one.
The first Ambassador for May is Christopher Pilling, a master technician at Chorley Nissan, Preston.
Chris has been with the company for six-and-a-half years and is certainly dedicated to his work. His hard work and attention to detail have helped him become a key member of the team while his levels of commitment have been fantastic during the trying times of the pandemic.
The senior colleague who nominated him explained that Chris went the extra mile while trying to diagnose a tricky fault on a customer’s vehicle. Whilst the car was in the workshop overnight, Chris had an idea of how to fix it at about 9pm one evening – and returned to work immediately to put his plan into action. The customer was over the moon and completely unaware of the lengths Chris had gone to fixing the vehicle!
The next winner is Christopher Tighe, a service advisor at Crosby Park Nissan, Liverpool.
Maximising its distance-selling operation during the pandemic, the dealership sold a used vehicle to a customer in mid-Wales only for the buyer to encounter a problem with the radio/sat nav screen. Christopher volunteered to go to the customer’s home on his day off with another radio/sat nav unit to rectify the fault – a round trip of about 250 miles!
Nissan’s fleet sales operation is a key part of the manufacturer’s continued success in the UK, thanks in no small part to members of the team like Barry O’Neill, pictured above, May’s third Dealer Ambassador.
Barry, local business development manager for Lookers Nissan in Gateshead, delivered a staggering 45 LCV units in the month with a fantastic PPU.
In doing so, Barry maintained great levels of communication with his customers and worked seven days a week at times to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Barry has helped the department grow so much in the last six months, he has earned himself a promotion and a further two people have been recruited to the department with exciting times ahead!
The Dealer Ambassador of the Month Awards are open to everyone working in Nissan’s UK retail network and recognise the lengths staff members go to in order to make the lives of their colleagues and customers that little bit easier. As well as receiving official recognition, each winner is awarded 350 N-GAGE points.
The Awards continue throughout 2021. Senior staff are invited to nominate deserving team members through the Dealer Ambassador of the Month portal via N-GAGE.
