AN AWARD-WINNING Lancashire Nissan dealer has given customers the chance to put the all-new Nissan NP300 Navara to the test at an off-road driving event.
More than 80 customers tackled a series of challenges designed to test the International Pick-up of the Year’s capabilities, including hill hold and descent control activities and a lap of a specially created off-road track.
The event took place at Trax in Preston and was organised by family business the Chorley Group, which has Nissan dealerships across the North West.
Adam Turner, Chorley Group Sales Director, said: “The purpose of the event was to give customers an insight into both the off-road and on-road capabilities of the new NP300 Navara.
“It was also a chance for customers to develop their driving skills under expert tuition and gain a greater understanding of vehicle control.
“We set them a series of challenges which tested their ability to navigate different types of terrain such as steep inclines, descents, side slopes and water crossings.”
Matthew Lockley, one of the customers at the event, added: “It was great fun. I currently own a Navara but I’d never previously had the chance to test its true off-road capabilities in an environment like that.
“The new NP300 Navara has a number of new features, including Hill Descent, so it was great to be able to put it to the test and see how it compares to the model it’s replaced.”
The Chorley Group, which has been crowned Nissan UK Retailer of the Year for the sixth consecutive year, has dealerships in Chorley, Preston, Wigan, Blackpool and Burnley.
