A NISSAN dealer in Somerset invited customers to get behind the wheel of the all-new NP300 Navara as it took over a museum to launch the award-winning vehicle.
F J Chalke in Wincanton held a launch event at Haynes International Motor Museum, in Sparkford, for the Nissan NP300 Navara, the newly-crowned international Pick-Up of the Year 2016.
Steve Fowler, Director of FJ Chalke, said: “We wanted to do something a bit different to show off the new Nissan NP300 Navara, which is a stunning vehicle.
“So what better place than a motor museum to demonstrate how far vehicles have advanced over the years? We invited customers and people who have shown an interest in this new model to have the opportunity to road test the vehicle, and find out more about the fantastic improvements that have been made over its predecessor.”
Due to demand the event was split into two sessions – morning and afternoon – so that everyone could have a test drive.
After a presentation on the features and benefits of the all-new NP300 Navara, all guests were then given the opportunity to take the vehicle for a road test in a NP300 Navara convoy, with the lead driver from Nissan GB giving an audio description of the vehicle’s controls and features.
In addition, there was an introduction to Nissan’s electric vehicles – the e-NV200 and LEAF – with guests driving them around the track at Haynes Museum.
To round off the event guests received complimentary passes for entry to the Haynes International Motor Museum.
And everyone was given the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a NP300 Navara for a weekend. All they had to do was answer one product knowledge question on the new model to have the chance to enjoy the incredible experience of driving this ground-breaking vehicle for an entire weekend.
Steve added: “It was great to see so many of our customers here, having the opportunity to drive the NP300 Navara, and seeing their reaction. We have received really positive feedback.”
