BARNSTAPLE Nissan is the new headline partner of the Smuggler Cycle Sportive, which takes place in North Devon this Sunday.
The dealership’s involvement will help to raise the profile of the hugely popular event, which is expected to attract around 800 riders of varying ages and abilities.
Now in it’s third year, the growing event has son far raised around £10,000 for Exeter-based Force Cancer Charity and the North Devon Hospice.
And the organisers hope the involvement of Barnstaple Nissan, which is located on Upcott Avenue, will help raise the event’s profile and in turn raise more funds for charity.
As part of a package of support, the dealership will display a number of the most popular Nissan models at various locations, including The Square in Barnstaple and feed stations along the routes.
And to celebrate the new partnership, dealership staff rode part of the route through Valley of the Rocks in Exmoor alongside the awesome 570PS Nissan GT-R supercar.
Marcus Chapman, organiser of the Smuggler Sportive, said: “It’s really great to be working with a local business that understand what we’re doing and are really keen on cycling as well.
“I’m sure the dealership’s involvement will really help the event to flourish and attract more riders from even further afield to this beautiful part of the world.”
