STAFF at a Nissan car dealership in Waterlooville raised £160.32 for a breast cancer charity by taking part in Wear It Pink Day.
WKB Nissan in Elettra Avenue organised the event, which took place at the end of October, to raise money for Breast Cancer Campaign.
Assistant Aftersales Manager Vicki Spencer told Nissan Insider: “We held this event last year and it was a great success, so we decided to go for it again this year.
“Our staff really got behind the day, with many donating £2 to wear something pink to work – as well as either making, or donating, cakes to be sold on the day.
“In addition to that, we decorated our waiting area in pink and played a sweepstake game which our customers on the day loved getting involved with.
“It turned out to be really fun and we are very pleased with how much we have raised for such a worthwhile cause, so we plan to make this an annual event.”
Now in its 13th year, Wear It Pink Day is supported across the country and raises more than £2 million every year for breast cancer research that saves and improves lives by helping to give quicker diagnoses and more effective treatments.
