Three winners at Nissan dealerships have been recognised for going above and beyond in December, becoming Nissan’s Dealer Ambassadors of the Month.
The monthly award, which is open to all staff in the Nissan retail network, recognises outstanding commitment to customers and colleagues. It is designed to celebrate best practice and examples of exceptional customer service. In December, Service Advisor Olivia Dobson at Alexanders of York, Sales Consultant Raymond Bolam at Bristol Street Motors Darlington, and the sales team at Chorley Nissan Burnley, all won praise from NMGB directors and 350 N-GAGE points each.
Olivia was nominated by her colleagues for going above and beyond to ensure the best customer service for everyone she helps, as well as offering help and guidance to other members of the team, too.
The nomination said: “Over the last two years Olivia has developed a great relationship with our customers and is often requested to be their chosen Service Advisor for their appointment at the dealership.
“She will often go above and beyond in order to maintain our excellent CVA performance by offering to collect and deliver customers vehicles within her own time.”
Raymond has wowed his fellow team members with growing sales figures over the last three months thanks to his fantastic customer service and continued high customer satisfaction scores.
“He leads the way in terms of aftersales videos and personalised emails once the customer has placed an order,” said the nomination. “A further two more customer satisfaction scores have come in today with some brilliant comments.”
Finally, in an unusual twist, the entire sales team at Chorley Group Burnely has been awarded the final Dealer Ambassador title. They will be given a voucher for a team meal and pin badges.
Chorley Nissan Burnley employee Gareth Small has been part of the sales team since 2005. In early 2019, Gareth was diagnosed with costochondritis, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, which made it difficult for him to continue work in the same way.
After the group’s August VIP event the Burnley team had won substantial cash prizes which were due to be paid towards the end of this year along with vouchers for the team’s favourite restaurants. However, they took it upon themselves to pool all of their prizes and asked that the group paid the additional monies and vouchers to Gareth to help support him and his young family through what has been a really difficult period.
According to the nomination: “Gareth was absolutely overwhelmed by the gesture in what is notoriously a dog-eat-dog industry of fighting for every commission. The Burnley sales team really rallied around in a time of need to support one of their colleagues.”
The Brand Ambassador of the Month awards will continue throughout 2020 and senior staff are invited to nominate their best team members over the coming months. The deadline for January’s Ambassadors will be February 7th.
