Excitement continues as more All New MICRAs arrive at dealerships nationwide

More Nissan dealerships across the UK have been taking delivery of their first consignments of All New MICRA.

We reported last week that one of the first sites to receive examples of the stunning all-electric car was Lookers Nissan Gateshead, where General Manager Martin Watson said it was great to have the first ones in the showroom and available for customers to inspect.

Transporters have been arriving at many other dealerships since then, such as Norton Way Nissan in Letchworth Garden City; Pat Kirk Ltd., Omagh; and Crayford & Abbs in North Norfolk.

The team at South West Nissan, which operates Nissan dealerships in Wellington, Barnstaple and Exeter, were also delighted to be involved.

Darren Webber, Group Marketing Manager, said: ‘‘The arrival of All New MICRA marks an important milestone for us. It’s been a highly anticipated model, and we’ve been eagerly awaiting its launch.

‘‘This car represents the direction Nissan is heading – bold design, innovative technology and real everyday usability. We’re excited for our customers to get behind the wheel and see just how much MICRA has evolved.’’

With its bold, assertive styling, the new Micra pays homage to previous generations of this iconic model – a compact city car that has sold more than six million units worldwide since its launch in 1983.

Its sleek bodywork, refined details – such as the original ‘‘gelato scoop”, a sculpted line from front to rear that evokes the mark left by a spoon in ice cream, and a strong personality: its clean lines have been designed to optimise airflow, reduce drag and improve overall efficiency to offer drivers maximum efficiency.

When a charge is needed, new Micra offers excellent charging options, thanks to its 100kW DC charger (or 80kw on the 40kWh version), quick charging from 15%-80% takes just 30 minutes. To maximise the charging efficiency, a heat pump is standard on both battery options, as well as battery heating and cooling capability.

Charging is as simple to manage as it is efficient. The NissanConnect Services app allows the driver to maintain remote control: charge level, vehicle location, charging history and scheduling, and cabin temperature adjustment are all accessible at their fingertips.

Thanks to its on-board and remote connectivity, the new Micra integrates seamlessly into its owner’s daily life, for intuitive and continuous interaction with their vehicle.

It integrates Google Built-in services via the NissanConnect infotainment system, with Google Maps supplied as standard.

Extended range models of the all-new Nissan MICRA now qualify for the full £3,750 UK Electric Car Grant, thanks to a new Europe-sourced battery, it was announced yesterday.

The MICRA 52kWh – which is built at the ElectriCity car production hub in northern France – will be priced from £23,245 with the higher Electric Car Grant applied.
