EMPLOYEES at a Kent Nissan dealership have raised hundreds of pounds by growing impressive facial hair for the annual Movember campaign.
The six moustached employees at Canterbury Nissan, on Westminster Close — Sales Manager Justin Newton, Sales Executives Steve Renwick, Dan Sargent, Simon Cook and Jack Castle, Business Manager Dhiren Pandya and Service Advisor Nick Baker — are still raking in the sponsorship and are hoping to reach a combined total of £1,000 for the Movember Foundation, which raises money and awareness for men’s health issues, including prostate and testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention.
Steve said: “All of us are so excited for December 1st to come along so we can shave them off and get back to normal! It’s been great fun to do though, as no matter whether we’re any good at growing moustaches, we’ve all taken part and our customers have been very supportive.”
Dealer Principal Terry McCabe said: “The Movember Foundation is a brilliant charity which encourages men to raise money and awareness in a really simple and fun way. We’re proud of our participating employees and grateful to all those who have donated.”
