A LEADING insulation business has chosen the all-new Nissan NV400 van as it looks to strengthen its UK-wide delivery fleet.
The NV400 with curtainside conversion will carry the specialist high temperature insulation sheets St Helens-based Esspee provides.
It will deliver products nationwide, six days a week, clocking up an estimated 30,000 miles a year.
The company, which has four offices in St Helens, Stourbridge, Dubai and China has a fleet of nine vehicles in the UK, including a second NV400 and a Qashqai used by the sales team.
National Account Manager Danny Phillips was so impressed by the company’s first NV400 that adding a second was the natural choice when expanding the fleet.
He said: “We did a lot of research when it came to purchasing our new van and when we looked at price — we thought it was far better value per month than other brands we considered — running costs, reliability and performance, Nissan were head and shoulders above the rest.
“They’re so reliable and what we also really liked was the fact you get all the connectivity in the van as you would get in a regular car. We’re a global company, connectivity is key, so being able to reach our drivers in a safe and efficient manner was a big selling point.”
The firm’s latest NV400 was supplied as a chassis cab by Chorley Nissan in Wigan and converted by Manchester firm Alloy Bodies Ltd.
Danny added: “Insulation isn’t heavy but it does take up volume, so a side-curtain van is essential for our operations.”
Julian Pendleton, Dealer Principal at Chorley Nissan in Wigan, said: “We’ve been working with Danny and Esspee for some time now and we were delighted they chose us for their latest purchase.
“The NV400 is the perfect partner for them thanks to its reliability and, as you can see from the conversion, versatility.”
