Three winners at Nissan dealerships have been recognised for going above and beyond in January 2020, becoming Nissan’s Dealer Ambassadors of the Month.
The monthly award, which is open to all staff in the Nissan retail network, recognises outstanding commitment to customers and colleagues. It is designed to celebrate best practice and examples of exceptional customer service.
In January, Service Advisor Nicole McConnell at Hurst Nissan Centre Belfast, Service Manager Freddie Scholtz at Platinum Box, and Sales Consultant Anthony Higgins at Arbury Bromsgrove all won praise from NMGB directors and 350 N-GAGE points each.
Nicole went out of her way to make sure a customer’s service was as easy for them as possible. The nomination explained: “Nicole met a customer in another local Nissan dealership to collect their car who had been experiencing issues.
“The local dealership was closer for the customer but further away from Nicole’s house. She had arranged to meet the customer out of working hours at the dealership to collect the car and bring it to our dealership where all the work was carried out. She then went out of her way to deliver the car back to the customer again out of hours – fantastic customer care. Nicole is a real asset to the Belfast Team”
Meanwhile, Freddie from Platinum Box Nissan went to the rescue of a customer who wasn’t confident using her inflation kit after her tyre was punctured.
His nomination said: “A customer phoned in with a puncture problem as she wasn’t confident on how to use her inflation kit the customer called road side assistance unfortunately they were unable to attend for four hours, hence her phone call to the dealership. On taking the call Freddie immediately drove 10 miles to assist the lady and her four month old puppy.
“Freddie used the inflation kit and suggested the customer follow him back to the dealership where upon Freddie arranged for the replacement of the tyre and inflation kit. This all happened around lunch time and the customer was panicking due to her diabetes she had no food or water so Freddie on route popped into a shop and he bought her a selection of foods and a bottle of water.”
And the final dealer ambassador of the month, Anthony, demonstrated his incredible service when he took the time to make sure a customer had all the information they needed – and even helped set up their car insurance.
The nomination explained: “Anthony dealt with a customer that has suffered from a stroke a few years ago and now struggles to process information. This customer came into the dealership to upgrade his Qashqai. Anthony was very patient and spent a lot of time making sure the customer was informed and happy with the deal before taking his order.
“At handover he went back over all the controls focusing on any changes. During the handover it was discovered that he was having issues with his insurance and again Anthony helped him. The customer was over the moon and brought a thank you present for Anthony.”
The Brand Ambassador of the Month awards will continue throughout 2020 and senior staff are invited to nominate their best team members over the coming months. The deadline for February’s Ambassadors will be March 7th.
