A COLDSTREAM man has scooped himself a year’s supply of fuel worth £2,500 courtesy of a Nissan dealer.
William Neillans, 56, a self-employed garden tractor after sales technical engineer, who lives in Coldstream, Berwickshire, was entered into the prize draw to win a year’s supply of fuel when he test drove the new Nissan Micra at DS Dalgleish & Son Nissan in Galashiels.
The promotion was part of the unique 24-hour test drive initiative to celebrate the launch of the new Nissan Micra.
‘Iwas really surprised when I heard I’d won as I never usually win anything. To win a year’s supply of fuel is great,’ said Neillans.
‘Both my father Tom and I are loyal Nissan customers and so we were keen to get a feel for the new Micra and as with all Nissan’s it did everything it promised.
‘I drive a Pathfinder and my father drives a Note and we are both customers at Dalgleish – my father for 20 years. The dealership service is second to none and so I am particularly pleased for them that it was one of their customers that won.’
In those 24-hours, Neillans was able to try out the Micra’s class-leading technology. ‘I really enjoyed test driving the Micra,’ he added. ‘It is a fantastic drive and its parking feature is brilliant. The Micra puts the ease back into driving.’
Scott Dalgleish, Dealer Principal at DS Dalgleish & Son Nissan on Melrose Road, said: ‘We’re delighted for William and are confident he will make the most of the year’s supply of fuel. It’s great that we could offer a prize that is so useful and will give William the opportunity to beat the ever-surging fuel prices.’
