MIDLOTHIAN Nissan dealership Alex F Noble & Son has clocked up a record eighth year as official car partner of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF), held recently in and around the streets of Scotland’s capital.
This year, the festival attracted a record 35,000 entries from across the globe and across all events, helping establish it as Scotland’s biggest running festival and the second largest marathon event in the UK.
The Alex F Noble & Son Nissan package comprised 11 vehicles, including two new Nissan Navaras, one of which was used as the lead clock car with the other one as a general ‘work horse’.
In addition, the dealership provided seven light commercial vehicles for transporting various items of equipment over the race weekend, a Micra car and an X-Trail, which among other duties, was used to transport two Kenyan athletes from ‘Project Africa Athletics’ to both Broughtoun and Liberton primary schools, which went down a storm with pupils and teachers alike.
Antonia Ward, Partnership Director of EMF organizers, GSi Events Ltd, said: “Alex F Noble & Son Nissan once again provided an excellent service. The EMF branded Nissan vehicles were put to good use by our events team and added a professional look across the weekend. As you can appreciate with an event of this size, the logistical demands are numerous and the Nissan fleet met all our needs with ease. Thank you very much indeed to Alex F Noble & Son Nissan from the EMF team.”
David Noble, Dealer Principal at Alex F Noble & Son Nissan, based in Straiton near Edinburgh, said: “We are again pleased to know that all our vehicles acquitted themselves well over what turned out to be a record breaking event, both for ourselves and the EMF.”
