THE three winners of March’s Dealer Ambassador of the Month honours have been named.
The monthly award, which is open to all staff in the Nissan retail network, recognises an individual’s outstanding commitment to customers and colleagues. It is designed to celebrate best practice and exceptional individual performance, and in March saw Matthew Heels of Arbury Bromsgrove, Luke Smith of Lookers Newcastle and Andros Odysseos of Glyn Hopkin North London winning praise from NMGB directors and 350 N-GAGE points each.
Sales Consultant Matthew Heels was nominated by Arbury’s Dealer Principal, Ben Archer, for his customer-focused attitude. Ben said: Matthew dealt with one of our existing customers who was looking to change the family car (Nissan Qashqai) to something smaller after her partner passed away. It wasn’t something that the customer felt any excitement about doing, but Matthew remained sensitive and informative throughout the whole process. After taking delivery the customer contacted the dealership and stated: Matthew you are so kind with your video and this morning with your lovely card. It is so appreciated at this very difficult time for me but the car cheers me up when I drive it. It is lovely. It was great that we have received this feedback and that Matthew went the extra mile at every opportunity.”
Luke Smith – a technician at Lookers Newcastle – was praised by his Service Manager, Jeanette Hawdon. She said: “Luke goes over and above his role without question for any customer who needs assistance with their vehicle and cannot get the vehicle in to the dealership. He recently delivered a courtesy car to a customer after he finished his shift, 50 miles away from his home, as the customer was unable to bring her car in due to family commitments.
“He brought the customers car in and returned it to her when the vehicle was repaired. He has two very young children and his time is precious but he is always first in and last out of the workshop, staying extra hours for the good of our customers without question. He recently had a situation where two technicians in his team were sick and he was faced with the challenge of 68 cars requiring preparation to be sold to our customers. Luke put a plan in place to have the vehicles prepared and encourage other technicians to give up their spare time for the good of the business and our customers. He is a credit to our dealership and to Nissan.”
Glyn Hopkin Service Advisor Andros Odysseos was recognised by the group’s Multi-site Director Pany Yianni, who said: “Andros runs the complete CVA process. He speaks seven languages and interacts with all our customers. He has created an ethos where everyone eats, sleeps and drinks CVA. This has helped his branch have a very high score and is monitored daily. There is nothing Andros and his team will not do – he is a credit to the team in North London.”
The Brand Ambassador Of The Month awards will continue throughout 2019 and senior staff are invited to nominate their best team members over the coming months.
To enter the April awards, nominate through N-GAGE by 7 May.
