THE cream of the UK’s motoring journalists were given the chance to drive the new Limited Edition 45th Anniversary GT-R this week.
The stunning supercar was one of a number of Nissan models available for drive at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire as part of the SMMT’s annual test drive for UK media.
Attended by hundreds of motoring journalists gave NMGB’s press team the perfect chance to showcase the brand’s exciting line-up.
There was a particular focus on performance products, including 370Z NISMO, 350Z and Juke Nismo RS and media were treated to NISMO branded cupcakes and energy drinks.
The award-winning Qashqai was also available for test drive, but the latest iteration of the GT-R had car scribes forming an orderly queue.
Based on the 2015 GT-R, the GT-R 45th Anniversary Limited Edition celebrates the incredible heritage of Nissan’s Ultimate Everyday Supercar.
Just 100 examples of this exclusive model will be made, with only 5 coming to the UK, priced at £79,780 on the road.
The GT-R 45th Anniversary Limited Edition lives up to its legendary lineage: with 550PS on tap, it combines everyday usability with impressive refinement and heart-pounding excitement.
In a nod to the model’s enduring appeal, each example will be finished in the eye-catching ‘Champagne Gold’ – the same trademark colour as the Skyline GT-R M Spec (R34 Type) released in 2001.
Inside, the GT-R’s Premium Black interior is complemented by an exclusive 45th Anniversary Limited Edition plaque on the lower part of the centre console while a bespoke plate featuring each car’s limited edition number is fitted in the engine compartment.
