New ad campaign highlights crossover leadership

NISSAN will underline its leadership of the crossover sector with a major new advertising campaign.

The exciting ‘Your Story Starts Here’ campaign shows Nissan’s crossover models driving across a giant book, effortlessly handling any unpredictable situation that is thrown their way.

Focusing on Qashqai initially, it will begin with three two-week bursts on TV with an estimated 170 million views, ending on  15th August, and will build with spots in cinemas, GymTV, video on demand, digital, print advertising and CRM.

TV viewers will see the ads during coverage of The Ashes, Formula 1, Premier League, and 24 Hours in A&E. In cinemas, the ad will be shown before films including Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Ted 2, Ant-Man and Fantastic Four, ensuring it’s seen by around 9.7 million people from July.

Video on demand will run for six weeks, in line with TV, to reach light television viewers on channels such as Sky Go to hit The Ashes and Formula 1, All4, ITV Player and Videology, achieving more than 9.5 million views.

A strong digital campaign across display, mobile and social media channels will also sit alongside TV, starting with home page takeovers across ESPN, followed by MSN and AOL, achieving around 80,000 unique visits.

In addition, a tactical national print campaign will continue throughout the year and will be accompanied by a number of direct marketing initiatives.

The ‘Your Story Starts Here’ campaign forms part of a bigger crossover promotion and will include X-Trail in July and Juke in September.
