FAMILY-RUN car retailer Crossflags has opened a new Nissan dealership in Dumfries.
The showroom is on the site of a former petrol station at the junction of St Mary’s Street and Huntingdon Road.
Crossflags has joined the Nissan franchise as the brand enjoys phenomenal success with the some of the nation’s most popular cars, including the British-built Nissan Qashqai and Juke.
Grant Williamson, Director at Crossflags, which has been trading since 1971, said: “This deal brings back Nissan to the area once again.
“Nissan has an exciting range of products in the market. You just have to look at the amazing success of the Qashqai and the Juke – they are among the most popular models on the roads today.
“We expect them to sell extremely well in Dumfries and Galloway and the surrounding area.”
Mr Williamson added: “Our new showroom has everything you would expect of a Nissan dealership.
“But we really believe in the Nissan brand so we are looking to invest in a top of the range showroom in the local area in the near future.”
Prominently located in the centre of Dumfries, the dealership is staffed by an experienced team and includes all the latest models, while outside there is ample customer parking.
The showroom is a temporary facility until a permanent one is developed nearby.
