A new service manager has taken the reins at a Nissan dealership in Somerset.
Newly promoted Alfie Mann, Service Manager at FJ Chalke’s Nissan branch in Yeovil, says he is ‘delighted’ to have been appointed to the role.
Alfie joined FJ Chalke in April 2019 as a service department apprentice, whereupon he embarked on a comprehensive business course. His commitment and enthusiasm were evident from the start, and he was offered a position at the company’s Nissan dealership in Yeovil on completion of his initial training.
As a service advisor, he demonstrated exceptional skills in customer service, problem-solving and teamwork and it wasn’t long before he was promoted to the role of senior service advisor.
Alfie continued to excel and demonstrate his leadership potential. His dedication to the success of the service department and his ability to guide and encourage his colleagues led to continued career progression.
As Service Manager, Alfie now works alongside two service advisors and six technicians and he’s proud that there is a great team spirit and work ethic in his department.
Opportunities for advancement
He said: ‘‘I’m delighted to have been promoted and I look forward to the challenges ahead. Our aim is to continue to run an efficient operation, with a ‘right first time’ approach to everything we do whilst keeping customers informed every step of the way.’’
In his spare time, Alfie enjoys golf and fishing, as well as working on his own car and dining out with partner Molly.
Managing Director of FJ Chalke, Steve Fowler, said: ‘‘Alfie’s journey from apprentice to management is not only a reflection of his personal growth but also a testament to the opportunities for advancement and development that we provide to all our employees.
‘‘It has been wonderful to watch Alfie’s career progress. His promotion to the position of Service Manager is very well deserved. Many congratulations, Alfie!’’
