NISSAN Motor Co. today confirmed new senior management appointments at its UK operations, Nissan Motor (GB) Limited. The moves are effective 1st July. Mike Thompson has been appointed to head up its UK aftersales operation replacing Chris Marsh, who has been confirmed as the brand’s marketing director.
Thompson joined Nissan in 2012 as the network strategy director and has been instrumental in developing and implementing Nissan’s market area strategy designed to improve the coverage and strength of the network as well as drive far greater levels of customer service. The strategy has also been instrumental in supporting Nissan’s mid-term growth objectives.
Thompson’s extensive experience makes him ideally suited for this role having held various operational and aftersales roles in the industry including, most recently national aftersales manager at Audi UK. In his new position as aftersales director, Thompson will focus on the development of Nissan’s aftersales network in the UK.
Marsh joined Nissan Motor GB in 1992 and has held a variety of marketing, sales operations and dealer network development roles, becoming the brand’s Aftersales Director in 2012. In his new role as marketing director, Marsh will be responsible for leading the brand’s marketing activities in the UK, overseeing all marketing functions including advertising, CRM and events.
