OWNERS of super-powered Nissan GT-R and NISMO cars have experienced a thrilling race day, hosted by Edinburgh dealership Alex F. Noble & Son.
Organised by the dealership’s Nissan Motorsport (NISMO) Team as part of its 85th anniversary celebrations, more than 100 existing and new customers took to the track at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife.
As well as being able to take their own cars out for laps of the track, owners and prospective customers were also able to see new models from the NISMO range, and go out on test laps with members of staff.
Some lucky attendees also got the chance to go out with the dealership’s own racing driver, Colin Noble Jnr. Colin, who is the son of one of the dealership’s directors, is currently racing with Ecurie Ecosse in the Michelin Le Mans Cup in Europe and in the Henderson LMP3 Cup Championship in the UK.
Alex F. Noble & Son’s NISMO specialist, John Allan, said: “We try to hold smaller events a couple of times a year, but as it’s our 85th anniversary, we thought we would create an event to really remember. By the number of thank you letters we have received from our customers who were there on the day, it seems we have done just that.
“All in, the day was a roaring success with around 55 vehicles in attendance and well over 100 customers turning up to enjoy the experience. One of the many customers who subsequently wrote to thank us, summed up the event nicely, saying ‘Quite simply, for all concerned, it was a real blast to go that fast’.”
