A CAMBRIDGE car dealer has moved into a new state-of the-art showroom following a £1million investment.
Glyn Hopkin has relocated its Nissan Cambridge business to a new, larger, purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility only 150 yards behind the previous Nissan dealership in Newmarket Road.
The new dealership adopts the Nissan brand’s innovative 21st-century showroom concept, combining technology and creature comforts to enhance the overall customer experience.
It replaces the traditional sales-focused showroom and creates a more experiential environment reflecting Nissan’s core principles of innovation and excitement.
The new concept centres around a comfortable and stylish area where customers can enjoy a freshly brewed coffee, browse the internet and search for product information at their leisure during their visit to the dealership.
Visitors will find an open-plan layout without traditional sales and service desks, while stunning ‘halo’ displays hang above star models displaying key product information.
Customers can also benefit from a sophisticated new aftersales facility at the dealership with more than twice the number of service bays.
Sales Manager Mark Ellis said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with the showroom’s new look and think our customers are going to love it.
“It’s really stylish and feels much more modern and customers will now be able to spend time in the dealership looking at the cars and experiencing the Nissan brand at their leisure.”
The acquisition of Nissan in Cambridge last year is among the latest expansion activities for Glyn Hopkin and further strengthens its position as one of Europe’s largest representatives for Nissan, and now one of the UK’s largest volume Nissan dealer groups with 13 dealerships.
