STAFF at a Nissan dealer in Northern Ireland have flexed their muscles to pull the carmaker’s NP300 Navara through Bangor town centre as part of continued fundraising for the British Paralympic Association.
The 25–strong team comprised of employees from Charles Hurst Nissan in Comber Road, Newtownards and staff at Bangor Aurora Leisure Centre as they heaved the award-winning vehicle two miles.
The event raised £400 and will be combined with other funds raised by Nissan dealers as they help to supercharge ParalympicsGB athletes to glory at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Nissan is the Official Automotive Partner of the ParalympicsGB.
Alan Thompson, Dealer Principal, said: “This was a gruelling challenge which required a lot of physical and mental strength so we are delighted with the efforts of our staff, who worked tremendously hard to pull the vehicle through the town centre.
“They wanted to test themselves by choosing a very physical task and we feel they have gone over and beyond to raise funds for a very worthy cause. We are very proud of them.”
