NISSAN has enjoyed great success in the prestigious What Car? Awards in recent years.
Last year, the all-new Qashqai got off to the best possible start as the highly respected magazine named it Car of the Year just as it was launched.
And this year the Qashqai was named Best Small SUV while the Pulsar took the title of Best Buy Car Family Car under £16,000.
But just what impact do the new car reviews carried out by What Car’s motoring journalists and the accolades they bestow actually have on car buyers?
Well, new figures direct from What Car’s digital team give an incredible insight.
They show that:
There are 88.3m page views of What Car? review content in a year.
Of those, 70.8m are for new car models.
3.7m of those are looking at new Nissan cars.
Of that, 54% (almost 2m views per year) are specifically looking at Qashqai. That’s substantially more than the second most popular search – the Ford Fiesta.
And Qashqai now accounts for an incredible 2% of all review traffic on the site.
The Qashqai has been the top ranking review on the site every month for the past year.
Qashqai is also the top ranking used car review on the site too with 278,902 page views. It has roughly 30% more views than the second-placed car – the Ford Focus.
