KICKING off the Juke Built To Thrill campaign on Good Friday will be Nissan’s new TV commercial.
Viewers will be able to watch the Nissan Juke being built as it drops 30,000 feet, jumps dirt bike ramps and travels underwater.
A number of high-profile launch spots have been secured for the ad over the Easter weekend, including Britain’s Got Talent, The Million Pound Drop, and several major football matches.
Nissan has arranged for the commercial to be screened during a wide variety of programmes in a bid to reach as many potential purchasers as possible.
It will be shown during shows such as Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, NCIS and Law & Order. Juke will also be appearing during films including Miami Vice, The Bank Job and The Perfect Storm.
Nissan’s press ad, which uses various design inspirations for Juke shot as an anamorphic installation, will also appear for the first time this weekend in a number of Sunday supplements including The Times, Telegraph, Independent on Sunday review and Mail on Sunday magazines. The ad will also appear in key lifestyle magazines from April 9.
In addition, from April 16, highly engaging web and mobile banners will allow the company’s target audience to feel as if they are skydiving with the Juke and even allow them to use their smartphone to guide the Juke whilst it falls through the sky.
A DM piece and email will also be sent to Juke customers and prospects at the beginning of May, and will generate hype and excitement for what’s to come.
Most thrilling campaign yet
But this is just the start… Built To Thrill will be Nissan’s most thrilling campaign yet, with interactive press ads using blippar technology, a mega escalator takeover at Oxford Circus in June (which converts it into the inside of an aircraft), innovative print specials and a 10-month online / experiential programme that will see Nissan investigate and push the boundaries of Thrill further than ever before.
