POTENTIAL customers went wild for Nissan Liverpool’s latest innovative promotion . . . free entry to a local safari park.
The Sefton Street dealership teamed up with Knowsley Safari Park – one of the country’s top zoological attractions – to offer free passes on a first-come, first-served basis.
And the offer proved so popular that a microsite set up to manage ticket applications was oversubscribed within seven minutes and had to be shut down.
In all, more than 2,600 people in over 650 cars took advantage of the unique offer, joining the thousands of others who made the most of the scorching sunshine to tour the park on Saturday and Sunday.
But their enthusiasm was not just reserved for the wildlife on display. Hundreds of park visitors also took time to view the dealership’s eye-catching display of Nissan models, located right by the park’s main restaurant and souvenir shop.
This generated more than 500 promising leads, two solid inquiries about e-NV200 and 15 strong LEAF prospects, with test drives now in the pipeline.
Nissan Liverpool General Sales Manager Mike Thomas said: “We were amazed by the public’s reaction to this promotion and it’s been a phenomenal success.
“As a data-capture exercise alone it was extremely valuable, but it also generated so many promising leads that I’m sure we’ll get a very healthy number of sales off the back of it.”
James Buxton, Nissan Sales Performance Manager, said: “This was a superb event. It was great to see so many potential and existing Nissan customers enjoying a fun-filled family day out, and the amount of interest generated in the Nissan vehicles on display was fantastic.”
