A TYNE and Wear-based lab technician has discovered the formula for driving happiness — by collecting the keys to her eighth Nissan Micra.
Karen Walker, 45, from Houghton-le-Spring, has been a Micra fan since she bought a ‘Mauritius’ model in green in 1994.
Just two years after buying her old-shape 15-reg Micra, she took a test drive in the all-new Micra at SG Petch on Belmont Industrial Estate in Durham — and fell in love all over again, buying a white Acenta grade version.
Karen, who works at the University of Northumbria, said: “It does look so different from the outside and is bigger than my previous Micras, but as soon as I drove off the forecourt for my test drive, it was like a familiar friend.
“I’ve tried other cars over the years but I always come back to the Micra. It really is an amazing car and for me, nothing can top it.”
Samantha Petch, Dealer Principal of SG Petch, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that Karen has snapped up the all-new Micra and continued her long association with Nissan. We hope she has many miles of motoring enjoyment with her new car, and hope to see her again in the future for Micra number nine!”
