Nissan Motor (GB) is proud to announce that it is now Pride 365 certified, demonstrating its commitment to improving inclusivity in its workplace and communities.
Pride 365 is a partner of InterPride, which has united Pride organisations globally and has stood for LGBTQ+ rights since 1982. Founded in Boston, Massachusetts by Marsha H. Levine, InterPride has internationalised rapidly, gathering hundreds of organisations in more than 70 countries.
Andrew Humberstone, Managing Director of Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd., said: “I am proud Nissan GB is taking an active role in creating a more diverse work environment and is contributing to Pride 365’s efforts in improving inclusivity in society and the workplace. In making this commitment, Nissan Motor GB is pledging to help create a world of inclusion for all.”
Pride 365 commented: “We welcome Nissan to the Pride 365 Certified stable and look forward to working with everyone in the company to achieve the promotion and facilitation of positive societal change, resulting in a world where all people are able to live and working as their authentic selves. Significantly, we work side by side with our partners to bring an end to the corporate appropriation of the LGBT+ communities.
From our initial conversations, it was abundantly clear that Nissan GB is truly dedicated to creating a working environment where diversity of talent and thought are both welcomed, and positively encouraged. As corporate business and community leaders, it is vitally important for companies like Nissan to definitively lead the way. Achieving Pride 365 Certification is proactively achieving this vision whilst ensuring every aspect of the business is truly authentic in their support of everyone who works within.”
