NISSAN has set a new record in the UK after car sales for March topped 31,000 – the highest monthly volume in its history.
Passenger car sales increased by 22 per cent compared to last year, representing a market share of 6.3 per cent in the month.
It means Nissan moves up the rankings to become the fourth largest UK manufacturer for the year-to-date.
And its March sales cements Nissan as the EV market leader, with LEAF sales exceeding 1,250.
Nissan’s crossover range – Qashqai, Juke and X-Trail – posted record sales in March.
The British-built Qashqai climbed up the rankings becoming the fourth best-selling car in the UK in March and the fifth best-selling car for the year-to-date.
