HUNDREDS of people attended the official opening of a Nissan dealer’s new state-of-the-art showroom in Dumfries.
Crossflags Nissan organised the event to celebrate the opening of its prominent five-car facility on Annan Road.
It is fitted with the carmaker’s 21st century retail concept, and replaces the dealership’s previous site on a former petrol station between the junction of St Mary’s Street and Huntingdon Road.
Those attending the weekend event were treated to attractions such as a bouncy castle, face painting, an Italian buffet and football freestyler Chris Draper, who put on a display of tricks and skills.
Crossflags also held a prize draw to win a night away at a premier hotel in Edinburgh, which was won by customers Mr and Mrs Marshall from Coalburn.
The opening of the new showroom, which has created 12 jobs, signals Crossflags’ ambitious plans to become the leading Nissan retailer in Dumfries & Galloway.
Established in 1971, the family-run group has built a solid foundation in the region with a strong focus on customer service.
Graeme Morton, Business Development Manager, said: “We were absolutely delighted with the turnout for our official opening of our new showroom. Everybody had a great time and we have made a number of sales and generated lots of customer enquiries as a result.
“The popularity of this event shows there is a strong demand for the Nissan brand in the area and we really believe this new facility will help us expand the Crossflags presence, offering the very best in customer service.”
The new showroom also has space for up to 60 CARED4 used Nissan vehicles on its outside forecourt.
It has a three-bay workshop equipped with the very latest diagnostic equipment and is staffed by a team of manufacturer-trained technicians.
