A DEALER group with Nissan showrooms in Bristol, Cardiff and Gloucester has raised £10,033.65 for its charities in 2015.
Wessex Garages will donate the funds to George Thomas Hospice Care, Penny Brohn UK and The Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC).
Keith Brock, Managing Director at Wessex Garages, explained: “Throughout 2015 staff at each of our Nissan dealerships organised and took part in various fundraisers in aid of their chosen Charity of the Year. We think they raised a fantastic amount of money and would like to congratulate them on their hard work and dedication.
“The money was raised in a number of ways such as collection tins in the dealership, money from our coffee machines, a Great Wessex Bake Off, a sponsored 5K run in fancy dress, four sponsored sky dives, a Christmas jumper day, raffles and auctions and also a festive Christmas party, which included a charity auction and a performance from Only Men Aloud.
“All of the charities do crucial work in the surrounding area at each of our dealerships and we are really pleased to have helped raise such an amazing amount of money for them during the past 12 months.”
