NISSAN dealership staff will climb three mountains in 24 hours as they bid to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
The team from Ancaster Nissan showrooms in Bromley, Eltham, Penge, Croydon and Slough will be taking on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge for the British Paralympic Association (BPA).
The challenge is to scale three mountains in 24 hours – Snowdon in the north, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales, and Pen y Fan in the south – making it a total of 26 miles and more than 9,000ft to climb.
Managing Director Stephen Wood is leading the team of employees from across all Ancaster Nissan sites. The trek takes place on May 14th and they hope to raise £5,000 for the BPA in the run-up to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
The proceeds will be combined with money raised by Nissan and its dealers nationwide and will help to supercharge ParalympicsGB’s bid for sporting glory in Rio. Nissan is the Official Automotive Partner of ParalympicsGB.
Stephen said: “It’s going to be a tough challenge as none of us are used to climbing mountains, let alone three in a day. But we’re all busy preparing and getting into training to make sure we complete it.
“We’re now asking all our staff and loyal customers to donate whatever they can to this truly fantastic organisation.”
